🎮Video Game Industry

"Yeah, not to brag but I was a big deal in that industry too. Poor thing must be crashing into oblivion now that I'm gone." - Ace

Video games have come a long way over the last 30 years, becoming the most profitable and fastest-growing industry in entertainment. An estimated 40% of the world's population now plays video games to some extent, with its popularity even continuing to grow throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic, whereas other industries took a substantial hit.

The market for Video Games is projected to only continue growing as new technologies are adopted and integrated into the medium.

Video games’ rise to the spotlight also shows in individual user activity, with the average gamer in the USA spending around 7.71 hours a week playing video games.

We are also seeing the medium building up a bigger allocation within an individual’s screen-based leisure time. While right now, movies are neck and neck with video games, and TV still reigning supreme, video games still take up a sizable portion of one’s extra time during the day, with the data expected to only grow in their favor in the coming years.
